PJ is a homebred Welsh/TB cross. Now thirteen years old, Anna started him as a three-year-old with the intention of selling him. PJ was destined to be a pony hunter or jumper until her father, Mike, decided he wanted to learn to ride and keep PJ for himself. Ever since PJ has accompanied Mike on his journey through Parelli natural horsemanship. Often surprising Mike and clinicians with some of his old "tricks" like jumping and flying lead changes. 

 

Anna was my first riding instructor.  She gave me my first riding lesson for my 57th birthday!  I was just getting interested in Parelli, and she was a Pony Hunter/Eventing/Dressage kind of girl.  She used her knowledge and broke it down into portions I could digest.  Riding for the first time “after a certain age” is quite different than beginning to ride as a child.  Anna would say “Look up!” and I’d reply “I’m looking for a soft place to land.”  She hung in there with me and continues to help me to reach my goal of being able to look as good on a horse as she does.
